About Me

Hello, I’m Jana Labaki, Reiki Master and founder of Glow Reiki Healing.

I discovered Reiki at a time of personal crisis, and felt the benefits from my first session. Reiki was able to lift me off the difficult state I was in, and to kickstart a process of deep recovery and change. Soon after, I started training to become a Reiki practitioner. Over the years, Reiki has supported me in many ways, not only with physical and mental health but with many of life's challenges. 

Over the pandemic, I witnessed the suffering of many around me, but also the relief I was able to provide through Reiki. I decided to transition from my corporate career to offering Reiki professionally, so I could facilitate for others the healing that was facilitated for me back when I was unwell. 

My approach to healing blends energy work, traditional indigenous wisdom, human psychology and biology, which I studied in an earlier life.

I attend CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events and courses regularly, as I believe that continued learning is essential for any good Reiki therapist.

I am a member of the The UK Reiki Federation, the largest Reiki professional organisation in the UK and Europe. I am bound by their Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice, which guarantees to my clients that they are in safe hands at all times. 

I believe in making the benefits of Reiki available to those most vulnerable, and have offered Reiki through voluntary work with Crisis, the UK’s national charity for people in homelessness, and The Magpie Project, a London-based charity for moms with young children in insecure accommodation.

REIKI LINEAGE

I have a direct Reiki Lineage, which means that I can trace my lineage back to the original founder of the system of Reiki, Mikao Usui. Choosing a practitioner or teacher with a direct lineage ensures that the original, authentic teachings have been preserved as much as possible. 

My lineage is in both classic traditions, the Western and the Japanese Reiki systems:
