How does Reiki work?
Reiki is a form of energy healing. As humans, we all have our own energy. For someone to have good physical and mental health, their energy must be balanced and strong. Unfortunately, traumatic events, suppressed emotions, stress and injuries amongst other things cause it to become imbalanced or blocked. This eventually causes physical pain, mental health issues, sleep problems, etc. In a Reiki treatment, the practitioner places their hands over various parts of a person’s body and transfers healing energy. This removes blockages and rebalances their system.
Is Reiki safe for everyone?
Reiki has no contraindications. It is completely safe for people of all ages, and in all states of health, including pregnant women, children and the elderly.
Is there any scientific research done on Reiki?
There is a growing body of research and clinical trials to validate the benefits of Reiki. US-based Reiki teacher Heather McCutcheon offers a list on her website, so does the UK’s Reiki Council.
